DK-46 Weekend for April. 2008 has been canceled, for details attend the April Reunion at First Church of God St. Paris at 7:00 P.M. Saturday April 19, 2008

Jim Greenwalt Lay Leader

NOTICE

The Dayton Koinonia Continuance Board has regretfully decided to stop mailing DK Newsletters. This decision is due to the lack of financial support necessary to continue publishing and mailing the newsletter each month. To date, the DK Treasury has paid these costs for the last four months and as of the February Reunion there were no supporters signed up for the next three months. The costs of printing and mailing are currently running $100.00 per month and our treasury cannot continue to fund the cost without some financial contributions toward this expense.

Should we receive contributions totaling $100.00 for a specific month then we would be able to print and mail a letter for that month. Currently we only have commitments for June, July and August of ’08.

Obviously, we will have to rely on electronic means to communicate DK news to you. Therefore, you will find the newsletter posted on our web site which is http://www.daytonkoinonia.com/. Also, we can email the newsletter to you as well as this notice. BUT, this means that we have to have a current email address for you and should you change that address then you will have to keep us up to date otherwise Dayton Koinonia cannot send important news and weekend information to you. Until further notice please send your email address to contact@daytonkoinonia.com.

Respectfully,

Jim Greenwalt Lay Leader

Dayton Koinonia

 New Beginnings

MARCH/APRIL 2008

DK-46 Update: PARTICIPANTS NEEDED

The deadline for applications to be turned in is drawing very near. As of right now, Erin Kuhn has two committed applications in hand. In order to hold the weekend, we need to have a minimum of 16 applications in the hands of Erin Kuhn no later than 7pm on March 25. If 16 applications are not in Erin’s hands at that time, the Legacy Center will be called and informed that Dayton Koinonia will not be utilizing their facilities in April. This deadline is being held extremely firm so that our business with the Legacy Center is honorable and above reproach. Likewise, the Continuance Board is striving to be a good steward of our resources, and paying a cancellation fee would undermine that effort.

Please be in prayer for the leaders, team members, and participants of the upcoming weekend. Your prayers are needed now more than ever.

See page 2 for information and key dates regarding DK-46.

Kitchen Wish List

In case you were not aware, a prayer of the Koinonia ministry was answered after the last weekend. Our ministry received special permission allowing us to prepare our own meals during weekends so we do not have to use the catering services on-site. As a result, we must obtain a temporary food license each weekend in order to comply with county regulations.

Because we are preparing a large amount of food, the kitchen teams of recent weekends put together a wish list of items that would allow the kitchen team to work more efficiently and ensure continued compliance with all health regulations. This list is posted on the Dayton Koinonia website. If you are willing and able to donate any of the items on the list, please e-mail me at brianckuhn@gmail.com
